Just another WordPress.com weblog

I’ve been pretty good about this so yay for me! It’s done.

This wasn’t exactly the kind of volunteering I wanted to do but I volunteered at a fundraiser for my old boss. I’ve done this tons of times but when you’re no longer vested in the success of the event, it’s so much easier and less stressful! I got to see some of the people that I used to help and I went with old co-workers went for drinks afterwards. It ended up being very nice. I plan to do volunteer for a non-profit event soon but at least #38 is done!

Oops. Looks like I never published this one yet.
I did it for a party I had on A’s roof. Just dance-y music that I love.
It was a good time.
Goal #72 is Go read the Modern Library’s top 10 novels. I’m not sure how I feel about this list as I haven’t necessarily heard these novels being touted as the best ever but the ones I have read on the list are pretty much my favorites of all time, so I’ll hope for the best.
I’ve only read the Americans! I swear I’m not closed-minded. I just haven’t ready anything since school!

I got all the Top 100 albums in my iPod! I had most of the top 25 already but the rest are a lot of bands that I had always heard of but never heard. Now I just have to take the time to listen to them.
I think I will share my personal list of Top 10 or 25 soon, maybe even later today…I’m not sure how I would begin to do my own 100.
On a personal note, I’m noticing that I haven’t been posting up a lot of photos. I love photos but I find it hard to use on wordpress. I would like then to have a uniform size if possible (al least one of the sides should always be the same) but I haven’t figured out how to do that yet. I’ll try to work on that.
I am posting the list of all AFI’s 100 Years…100 Films that I am supposed to see to fulfill my #71 Go see all the AFI’s 100 Years…100 Films for my 101 in 1001. I am chosing to use the 1998 list rather than the 2007 list because, quite simply, I think that the 2007 list is weak and most of the new additions will not stand the test of time. I’ll be adding them all the Netflix asap. I think I also may combine this with #34 Go host a movie marathon.

I finished Living History at work today. I feel like it is more interesting as a work of history rather than a well-written biography if that makes any sense. Some parts were taken directly from It Takes a Village. I enjoyed it to get a better insight on Clinton’s view of situtations I had know of growing up but nothing was too revealing. I’m going to think about this some more and write something better later.
